Wimbledon Championships
Similar to the previously mentioned and equally loved sport, the Grand Prix racing, Wimbledon Championships, meanwhile, are the most popular, the most talked-about and the most received game or tournament on tennis. Remarkably, Wimbledon is also the oldest tournament for tennis in the world. It is the most exciting tennis game there is in the planet, and that of course includes very famous players like the Williams, Nadal and Federer whose popularities are comparable to the biggest Hollywood stars of today. This is an annual event and runs shortly from the end of June up to the end of July. Usually, the sport is held at the All England Club.
Some of the most famous tennis players include Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal. Just recently, what happened was much talked about as five-time champion Federer lost the crown to Nadal. Now, Nadal is already the king of the Centre Court, and remarkably, the men’s final where it happened was the longest ever in history – to add to its recall to fans. Meanwhile, the sport is considered to be more exciting because of the siblings Venus Williams and Serena Williams. In the most recent women’s final, it was Venus Williams who went lucky that day and claimed her fifth Wimbledon singles crown. Both of these two pairs had their share of exciting and riveting matches.
